Help with booking a 200K.

Hello there, I have 198K TYN points that I would like to convert into AA voucher. If anyone can give me ideas on the routes for the latest rules of 2c/point, I would appreciate it. I have a USD 100 AA gift card as a token of appreciation for the best route.

Thanks

Just buy two of these routes... you should spend some 180k points plus $200-300 in taxes and get $3600 (- 2 x $150 fee) in AA vouchers. CALL Thank You Network ASAP. The hold time will be longer than usual... Even if only one segment is in Business, since it pops up on Expedia.com when you
do a search for Business Class fares, it's Kosher according to TYN/Expedia. I booked that same fare, still haven't canceled it...

Thanks for the routing. I was on hold for 1 hour thrice and still could not get the booking as the line got disconnected. I will try again on Monday and finish this.

You could always look for Middle East options and buy 2K points ($50?). 200K ~ 6K voucher.

You know, I really wonder how many EYW-FAT roundtrips have been booked by ThankYou folks over the last few days. It seems most of us are using August days, no less -- I wonder if AA is noticing any crazy loads around that time.

You assume OP can redeem 3c.

Chances are, he can only redeem 2c, so is 4K.

Dont know Middle East itinerary change fee, I assume it is at least $250.

Given now TYN is willing to absorb the 7.5% domestic excise tax, I would go for 2 x 1800, 50-60 tax 90K domestic biz, and have 18K pts left. He can easily earn another 2K pt, thus redeem for 2 x $100 gift card.

OP, if you pick the posted AA route, ask TYN to only charge you the 60 tax and give you the full value of the base fare.
