Elite Excursions Offer
Has anyone tried the Elite Excursions program offered by Trelligian. I have noticed it in 2 credit card inserts this week and it claims to treat you like a VIP with a Priority Pass "where you can relax in comfort at more than 300 airport lounges"... also comes with 5% cash back on travel....
Sounds tempting for the airport lounge VIP...

cashback = not as good as reward points like starwood, amex, citi.
and how much are the annual fees for the cards to get priority pass? and does it specify which level of priority pass?
chairman card is $400 which includes priority pass top level, cardholder+2 guests, any additional guests are $12, i think thats the latest word.

The website is http://eliteexcursions.com/
I just got the offer through my bank last week (while I was out of town, so I just opened it today) and looked it up. Basically, pay $19.99/month for an imitation-Orbitz, then save your airline/hotel/car receipts and mail them in to get the 5% cash back.
You only get the rebate on certain airlines/hotels/rentals (and none of them are Northwest, which makes it extra-useless to me.) Might be worth is for someone who uses the right airlines, doesn't want miles, and doesn't have to turn in receipts to their job. But I doubt it. You'd basically have to take a vacation a month!
They throw in 4 free lounge visits a year through Priority Pass. They also claim "complimentary Luggage Free" service, but I'm sure there's a catch.
Overall, I'd vote against joining. Just like the tacky "auto club" offers you find in credit card bills, Elite Excursions is just built to look more useful than it is. It's basically a scam.
