Next Card

I had a bunch of points with Next Card and they just went out of business - has anyone heard of any recourse to still use the points we accumulated?
Thanks!

One of my co-workers has a NextCard and was informed all points have been forfeited and there will be no recourse. However those that had a NextCard Amazon.com card, Amazon.com assures cardmembers points will be honored.

I requested a bunch of blockbuster certificates a couple of days ago. I doubt I'll see them now

Sorry Jumpfirst, you are out of luck.

The Associated Press reports today that federal regulators have shut down the remaining 800,000 NextCard Visa accounts.

Further, any NextCard Rewards participants with points balances are (mostly) out of luck.

The card's terms of use state that any loyalty programs can be cancelled without compensation or warning at any time, and the FDIC has stated it will not compensate members for their points balances in any way.

However NextCard stakeholder Amazon.com has committed to allowing customers to cash in their NextCard Rewards points.

Amazon said it will be contacting program members in the next few weeks to inform them of their options.

I was very surprised and pleased to receive my Blockbuster certificates in the mail today! If any of you are sitting on points you may want to try for the Blockbuster reward. Mine came within a week.
