shopping for a new visa/mastercard
I am looking to get a new visa/mastercard that offers points or some rebate. Right now I have a free one from MBNA but get no points.
I don't use it that much. Maybe $3000/year. I mainly use AMEX & Diners but when someone doesn't take either then I am forced to use my visa.
Is it even worth changing to a card that offers points?

Thanks for the information. Looks like a good deal but I'll look at the Marriott card first because I tend to use their rewards more often. I'll probably just sign-up for the Marriott card for a year, or even sign up for both cards!

On the other hand, I will reserve judgment awaiting the expected changes, but mosr of us who have a hotel affinity card, intend to earn the points for the hotel program, not the airline FF conversions.

i prefer the MilesOne card by CapitalOne. you can fly free for as little as 18,000 miles. the U.S. is broken into three zones. the card has an intro rate of 3.9%, goes to 9.9% fixed, and has a low annual fee of $19.

If you are looking for rebate cards, then GM Master card is very generous 5% rebate on a new or used GM car
Fleet's Rebate is not bad 2% rebate after $8000.
I heard that Wellsfargo's mileage card isn't bad either, 2 miles/$1 if you pay of your balance full...
