The rewards site is currently offline for maintenance. So somewhat likely they are implementing changes.

Just read on Doctor of Credit that the rollout has been pushed back to Dec. 10. Still not holding my breath.

Earlier this year I designated this card for all MRCs (recurring online payments). For some years now I have one sock drawer card that I use for all such payments because it is a royal PITA to have to redo everything if one of your everyday cards is compromised through swipe fraud or otherwise. The WF card provides a decent rebate and good bonus categories for MRCs esp. with the cell phone insurance.

Used my Rewards account today for the first time buying tickets: really cheap Basic fares on Jet Blue where adding Even More Space later will be covered later by other cards.

According to https://thepointsguy.com/news/wells-...sfer-partners/ will be some time in 2024. Not much info in the story other than a "2024" target.
For the existing Autograph: Points Transfer goes live April 4 with initial launch partners including: Choice Privileges®, Air France-KLM Flying Blue, avianca lifemiles, British Airways Executive Club, AerClub, and Iberia Plus. More partners will continue to be added throughout the year. |
Underwhelming.

Now not so much. I would give it a little time; once some of the usual suspects like AC/CX/EK/SQ/VS show up it will be a pretty useful card I think. Already having AV puts it one up on Chase. |
I do better with the 50% bonus cashing in points through their portal rather than paying cash for flights at times.

And the day for the announcement has finally come. Since it involves a new card I started a new thread for discussion on the new card.

So this means that the only difference between the Autograph and the Autograph Journey is an extra 2x on hotels and an extra 1x on flights, $1000 cell phone insurance vs. $600, and some travel insurance?
So unless the travel insurance is worth it or you spend a lot on hotels and airfare it might not justify the $95 fee. |

Annual $50 airfare credit Double the maximum sign-up bonus (max for the Autograph has been 30,000 points, currently showing 20,000. SUB for the Autograph Journey is 60,000, 70,000 for Wells Fargo Premier clients) Extra 2% on hotels (vs Autograph card) Extra 1% on airfare (vs Autograph card) Loss of 2% on streaming, gas, phone (vs Autograph card) The sting of the losses are not that big of a deal if you have other cards with 3% gas (AMEX Blue Cash), 3% streaming (Capital One Savor/SavorOne). You won't find 3% phone anywhere, though. Only Chase Freedom Flex and USBank Cash+ offer 5% - Flex is of course limited to a single 3 month quarter, and the Cash+ card is a category choice (meaning you'd have to make that your preferred over other categories). |

Anyways, $3k on hotels/airfare 50/50 should likely break even on the Autograph Journey compared to the Autograph's 3%. And WF accepts product downgrades if you really want to get the high SUB in year one and then downgrade to Autograph in the future. That being said, I could totally see someone doing a multiple card setup with Autograph Journey and Autograph, or a $0 AF transferrable card setup with Autograph and Active Cash. |

Perhaps not for personal cards but the Chase Ink Preferred is 3x on phone.

Elan Max Cash Preferred/US Bank Cash+ offers cell phones as a 5% category on personal cards. I think if you travel for work and your company lets you use your personal card for expenses, 5x on hotels is a unique category for Wells Fargo. I personally like the 1:2 Choice transfer option as there are a couple of Ascend properties my wife and I like to go to that are part of the Choice program. At 25k/night, it requires only $2500 of spend at any hotel to get a $400-$500 free night. |
