I ended up applying for this.
The pros are the application process and the Bilt Rewards app worked pretty seamlessly-- as soon as I was approved I was able to go into the Bilt app and add my new card to my phone's digital wallet; the app will also show you your card number to use for online purchases immediately. The app also shows you points earned per purchase as soon as it posts to your Wells Fargo account. Card shipped pretty quickly and I liked the follow up e-mails from Bilt on the card delivery status. One con is that I received a pseudo welcome offer after applying, which was 5x points on all purchases for 5 days starting the day I received my card. What has been frustrating is that the offer specifically mentioned the start date of the promotion (8/10), yet my account must have been coded incorrectly with the promo because when my purchases posted, nothing for 8/10 received the bonus points. I've reached out to Bilt Support to have them look into this, but their response time is definitely a bit slow. |
My home is owned by a trust. Can I "rent" the home from the trust and make payments to it?
|
I haven't gotten this card yet (been working on Chase...3/5 so far), but they added BA and will add Iberia and Aer Lingus in the fall as transfer partners. Living in NYC, it'd be very easy to hit the 50,000 points on rent annually.
Also, 'Frequent Miler' says that you can now generate ACH info if you pay your rent through a portal..."In the Bilt Rewards app, cardholders have the option to send a rent payment by mailing a check or by ACH transfer using ClickPay, RentCafe, or other online payment portals." |
hi anyone able to link their united account to this card via the app, i have been trying for the last few days and every time i get an error. Customer service is non-existent.
This card so far has been a complete disaster, transactions would disappear for days then magically reappear then disappear again making it very confusing, every time customer service states it's a bug they are fixing. United card linkage doesn't work so cant transfer to miles, which is my only use for its points. Seems the tech is not ready for release. |

[email protected] was an email given I'm assuming by Richard Kerr in a comment on VFTW. Could be worth a reach out if it's actually him... |

FWIW this card is 3x gas and EV charging until October 31 for up to $1250 in charges. https://www.biltrewards.com/terms/3x-on-fuel Bilt seems to be good at adding value as time goes by. For a no AF card it’s been useful for me, useful enough to take a hit on going under 5/24. |

On my Bilt card (Evolve-issued, not WF-issued) dining transactions round down to the nearest point (the extra point is issued at 34 cents and probably the 67 cent mark.) A $1.60 transaction earns 4 points, a $2.10 transaction earns 6 points, etc. I did notice that an $x.33 transaction didn't give me the extra point and rounded down to the same earnings as $x.00, but an $x.34 cent transaction gave an extra point. I don't have any transactions at the $x.66 or $x.67 mark to tell where that line is, but $x.68 earns 2 extra points over what a $x.00 transaction would be. A bit annoying that it doesn't round up or to the nearest, but not a big deal for me.

Just got the card and confused about this statement on the app: “Make at least 5 transactions that post each statement period to earn points on all of these categories: 1x rent, 2x points on travel, 3x points on dining”
Does that mean if I only use the card for rent 1 time per month, I won’t get any points and I need to make 4 other transactions? |

Is it a WF, Bilt or timing thing - paid off my balance yesterday and the available credit still shows as if I have not.
Both WF and Bilt show the same thing, 0 balance and only 1/3 of credit available. |

From the issuer's perspective they have received payment drawn on "a" bank account, but they need time for the funds to clear -and- to gain confidence that it is "your" bank account.
What has other card users' experience been with balance reset on payment? |

right... After they've connected the account via plaid via MFA and drawn the funds via ACH, they are waiting for funds to "clear". With all due respect it sounds more like It issue than "compliance".

Bilt is now doing a Rent Day where all non-rent payments are double points (dining is 6x, travel is 4x, everything else is 2x).
6x/4x/2x Hyatt isn't shabby IMO. |

Does anyone have DPs if applications for this card have been approved for non permanent residents / citizens of the US. I’ve heard Wells Fargo doesn’t approve credit cards if you’re not a citizen/PR.

Bilt CC aproval question
I just applied for a Bilt Master Card through a link provided by our Avalon Bay
community rental portal. It filled out the address information. But then Bilt said I was only approved for $1500. So the card can't be used to pay Boston rent obviously (maybe Bilt knows something about Boston rents that I do not?). I logged in using a PC. Bilt then asked me for a rental address to connect to. I entered the same address as my apartment complex provided, but Bilt said it is not part of its rental program. Any suggestions on what to do? |

Does Bilt have a customer service phone number? I am having a problem paying my
rent to Avalon Bay through the Biltprotect portal to get the points. Problem is that the app instructions are some how wrong for my account so it does not give me any routing number and account number to pay to get points. I could not find any phone number on the Bilt web site or Android App. I filed a chat request but got a we are reviewing it email reply. Problem is that I am going to a conference (flying) to UK Saturday. |
Would appreciate updated comments/reviews/status reports for this card re:
- Does a successful Bilt Mastercard application (approval) count toward Chase’s 5/24? - Previous report(s) here of delayed or missing paper checks sent for rent payment, is that still a problem? - Can Bilt be used successfully to pay condominium monthly/common/maintenance charges? - Can Bilt be used successfully to pay mortgage payments? Thank you. |

Is transit(Lyft/Uber)/parking considered as travel as far the Bilt card is concerned?

Double points for everything except rent for a week instead of a day. 6x dining, 4x travel, 2x everything else. You can also transfer to IHG at 1 Bilt:2 IHG on December 1 (which isn’t amazeballs but if you have a Bilt balance I could see ways you get excess value out of it). |

Has anybody used the "rent" payment feature of the card for something other than rent? Since Bilt seems to send out a check to your landlord, could you use the card to pay, say, child care expenses every month? Would be nice to get an extra 1,700 points a month for this expense!

Anyone achieve Silver tier and earned interest on points? What interest rate are you getting?

HOA / condo
Has anyone determined whether Bilt works on condo dues / HOA payments?

More data points
Have Bilt card by Wells Fargo with $30k credit line.
More info if anyone is interested. 1. I pay MORTGAGE with it for last 3 months (using ACH). Getting the 1% points no problems. 2. I pay HOA similarly using ACH. Getting 1% points. 3. You can add authorized user if you want to via Wells Fargo website. 4. You CAN transfer points not just to yourself (at least I was able to add my wife's Hyatt account, while I did NOT add her as authorized user, but I haven't validated the points transfer. Just can confirm that the app allowed to link it). Bilt support told me that if you add an authorized user, then for sure you shouldn't have any problems with points transfer. For example, with Citi you cannot transfer points to authorized users. |
My mom’s card was hit with fraud. New card will be rushed. I’ll need to re enter new routing number/account for rent payments. Anyone have issues with that?

I was hit with the same fraud last week. However, when I check my rent payment ACH info in the Bilt app, it does not appear that the routing number or account number have changed, which makes sense since they are not related to the Mastercard card account number.
Mom’s acct was also hit last week but received text and email alerts today. |
