MCC - Merchant Code Category - for RewardGateway?
RewardGateway is a shopping portal similar toeBates (Rakuten 🤮 )and others, offered through employers...and one of the opportunities are InstaCards, which would be like Flux where you purchase a gift card prior to purchase at a discount for participating retailers.
Hunting and hunting to get the MCC ~ anyone here might know?

For B&M, should be easier. Put the zip code & Macy's,
Industry/MCCDEPARTMENT STORES - 5311
Various PDFs provide mapping from 4-digit number to verbose name.

If you're looking to how a credit card treats the 4digit (eg is 8999 part of travel category for bonus?) hard to find this information
