How to Stop Interest Charge Accumulation in Mid-Cycle?

I almost never carry a balance, but am briefly doing so now. Is it possible to pay the interest for just part of a billing cycle, if so do I need to pay not just the previous statement in full, but also any additional charges? The bank in this case is US Bank, but the question applies to other banks too.

In calculating your interest, creditors use ADB (average daily balance) to determine the balance involved.

ADB has already factored in how soon or late you make the payment.

So no to your question.
