Barclay JetBlue Transitioning

Yes, I did post a portion of this on the Amex thread. I just didn't want to miss Barclay expert advice, too.

So, just had my annual fee posted on the Amex Jet Blue holding a $22K CL. I have read the emails that AMEX has sent about the transition to BARCLAY but really not too clear.

How does Amex "know" my CL will stay put with the transition? I have two other cards with Barclays with about $17K CL combined (Aviator: $89, Wyndham: $0 balances).

Is there something I should be doing to be proactive to not lose my AMEX JB CL before the transition? I am thinking about cancelling Aviator anyway due to $89 AF and I have 2 Citi AA MCs for the AA travel benefits. Thoughts?

Personally I wish I could take a portion of the AMEX JB CL and direct to another AMEX without a hard pull, hopefully BEFORE the Barclay transition. Is that a strategy to be considered?

Thanks for polite replies.

Inasmuch as all of the questions pertain to American Express I will close this thread. Please post replies here:
