Any Thoughts on Card Usage in the Middle East?

I am moving to the Middle East in about a month. Work will have me primarily in Saudi Arabia, but I have a lot of friends in Bahrain, so I see me visiting there often as well.

Is there a subset of cards worth looking into for living abroad? I will be there anywhere between 2 and 4 years. I currently have the Barclaycard Arrival+ and a sucky old USAA card I only keep since it is old. Thanks!

Any Thoughts on Card Usage in the Middle East?

Will you have a U.S. Address and social security number?

Yes on social security number. Unsure on U.S. address. It is a government job, so I will likely have a home of record back here.
