This is atrocious. I'd rather slap down any card above than this piece of crap.

https://secure.cmax.americanexpress....od-190x120.png ...even if it was just once, by the cashier at Tim Hortons :p I think it looks OK. |
I nominate the Capital One Venture Card. Shiny bling gold color that would blend in seamlessly with the Etihad first class. You need to put on sunglasses before you pull it out of your wallet.

CitiGold debit card: translucent burnt orange with gold embossing. I can't even find a picture online, it's that hideous.

Have to say that I kinda like the brushed metal look of the Hyatt Chase Visa or even the US Airways card, but that's probably because I have this in my wallet:
http://www.rewardscanada.ca/images/Logos/alaskacard.jpg It's actually a really good card. Decent sign-up bonus, an annual $99 companion fare, and minimum 1 mile/$ earnings. But wow is it ugly!!! Seriously. It's a freakin' platinum MasterCard. Could they not make it look just a little bit fancier? |

Agreed, Amex could have done so much better with the SPG card design.
*ugly *forex fees *never a bonus category other than SPG And, yet, we're all fanboys. |

I have to add in the Citi DoubleCash, its probably made of the cheapest material they could use and the card info on the back is just a sticker they added. Good thing its 2% or I probably wouldn't use it.
http://www.click2borrow.com/wp-conte...oads/best1.png The US Air card is also ugly, but nowhere near as bad as the Club Carlson card: http://www.thesimpledollar.com/wp-co...sa-300x188.jpg OP, I think you underestimate the Hyatt card. I've always liked it, and it was one of the few my wife actually liked carrying around. Apparently at least some ladies are fans. Out of all of our cards, though, the ones we've consistently gotten compliments on are the Amex Blue cards. People just seem to love them. https://icm.aexp-static.com/Internet...e/blue-sky.png |

https://icm.aexp-static.com/Internet...e/blue-sky.png I haven't signed the back of mine - Cashiers flip to the back to look (as they are trained), and never say anything.... https://icm.aexp-static.com/Internet...x-everyday.png |

The everyday card looks nice and clean too (just silver/shiny & transparent, no color)... sometimes it looks fake too

Funny, I was having that conversation just the other day. I haven't had a cashier in the US look at my signature in probably a decade, but it happens almost every time in other countries. We have ~35 active credit cards, and only 4 of them are signed at all - the 4 we normally take overseas.
maybe they're just looking to see how to swipe it? points to citi prestige and it's reverse mag strip-> http://1v7mh43xejam2hi9m11cptux.wpen...27-546x410.jpg |
