Coin is already outdated, and they are still in beta!!! if you go to Coin's website you can order one and it said "shipping summer 2015". Its really laughable, by then most cards would have EMV chip. Not to even mention this card which is also shipping in summer of 2015. Oh! It's also rechargeable, and you can update the firmware on the card. Coin might as just give up now.

yeah its pretty cool, and actually an improvement over coin... but not sure how it helps with MS... esp considering stores and wannabe vigilante or over zealous cashiers/managers are already weary of real, actual CCs... this is just gonna open up a whole another can of worms.

i cancelled my coin recently after the huge debacle and pushing out the launch date. I preordered back in 2013 too. As benny said, by the time they officially launch they'll be outdated.

It might be better than Coin, but its advertisement is just as awful. Seriously, dump the hipsters and get a real advertising agency

Note that they say at launch the EMV chip will be inactive as will the NFC function.

It shows an EMV chip on Plastic. Does that mean they can, or will be able to, successfully clone EMV cards?

It won't be active at first. I'm sure it'll be a "participating banks" type deal or else it'll be a proxy a la Google Wallet.

I avoided Coin because it lacked EMV. I'm skeptical of this until they have some banks on board.

For the price, I would just consider that a subsidy to getting an iPhone 6 and Apple Pay or whatever Android version (Softcard or something like that).

Spending $155 to consolidate my cards isn't worth it at that price point.

Well at least it covered all bases than Coin. That's one advantage of being the 2nd in competition: wait and see until the flaws of the other guy and scoop right in as the flaws surface.

Then again, as others has stated, Apple Pay will do the same thing, so is it really worth it? I dunno. At least it gives an additional option for non-iPhone users.

I almost pulled the trigger, but noted in their terms and conditions that it's non-refundable. Yeah I'll wait until it's no longer vaporware.
