New here, please help with selection of which credit card to keep
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie, happy to be here.
I have been churning credit cards for signup bonuses for like a year, and it's about time for annual fees of many of my cards to be posted. I'm wondering what should I keep and what to close to avoid annual fees.
Here is the list of cards I currently have:
Amex Platinum, SPG and Delta Gold.
Chase Ink Bold, Sapphire Preferred, United Explorer, Freedom, Hyatt and IHG MasterCard.
Citi Hilton Reserve, AAdvantage Executive, Forward(with 5x for restaurants).
Discover it.
I live in New York and fly to Asia often. I have been flying/staying in whichever airline/hotel chain is cheaper and have not chosen a specific program to commit to. I do not spend a lot in office supply stores but I do use Ink for gas.
My current credit score according to CreditKarma is 755 (I don't know how accurate it is
). I'm not sure how much closing cards will cost my credit scores, but no plan to take on mortgages in the near future.
So please, if you guys can help me optimize my strategy a little bit, whether I should commit to a specific program, and which card I should close/apply to according to my current situation.
I appreciate your help
