So what's the official word on this card with platinum honors status (+75%)? Is it the best travel card available?
I currently have the cash back version of this card, since I bank with boa + merrill edge I have platinum honors anyway. The cash back version tends to average me about 2% spending everything on this card. The base rate is 1.75%, with bonus categories going to 3.5% and 5.25%, however the bonus categories are capped at $6k/year.
But, I'm doing the math, and this travel card has 1.5pts/dollar + 75% bonus = 2.625. Does 1 point = 1 cent always? Are there some conditions for redeeming points like you must have enough to cover an entire flight or nothing, or something like that? The equiv of 2.625% unlimited cash back from a cc seems too good to be true.

It's effectively unlimited, 1pt=1ct, as long as you have travel expenses to redeem rewards against. You can redeem against one travel expense multiple times and the window of time you have to redeem is very long.
If you ever do any traveling, the card is a 2.625% everywhere card with Platinum Honors.
If you don't, you can transfer the points to the FIA Amex and still cash them out 1:1, it's just more work and may not be around forever.

In the same scenario but if I have accrued 5000pts, can I redeem 4520pts for the charge... Or will it do some rounding (like I can only redeem in some interval) that degrades the value of points?

So if I spend $45.20 on a rental car, and have accrued 3000pts with this card, can I go redeem the 3000 pts for $30 on the charge?

But as with anything in this area, if something is significantly better than anything else out there, it often doesn't last too long... so I wouldn't be too surprised to see some tweaks to the BofA Preferred Rewards program eventually.

The Travel Rewards is the best card I have right now. 2.625% on every purchase (as Platinum client), plus it goes up to 4.125% if I happen to book my travel plans through the BOA portal (I have done this). They keep a history of anything you have booked in the last year which is considered travel, and you just apply whatever amount of points you would like against however much balance remains of those purchases that you haven't already applied points to. I had a tour that I took which I have been applying points against for many months now.
Plus no foreign exchange fees.

Hi guys, I have two questions regarding travel redemption:
1. Can I redeem points on one purchase for multiple times even if the purchase amount has been fully redeemed? E.g. if I have one $25 travel charge, can I redeem 2500 pts for 10 times to cash out all 25,000 points? AFAIK, Cap1 reward program can work like this.
2. How long does travel credit post to account? Next statement or 1-2 days after redemption?
Thank you!

Sorry if I didn't make my question clear. I was curious if BofA travel rewards works similarly as Cap1 rewards. For Cap1 rewards, I can reimburse myself for the same charge an unlimited amount of times.
