Travel Rewards Card
Had the card for 18 months
Called to check on retention offers. $20k spend, and I'm seeing
20,000 points sign up bonus currently be offered (I received only 5k or 10k when I first signed up).
Rep took my information and said normally they will offer it in first 90 days of new card membership, but she will check with someone in the "back office area." Then said I should receive a letter within 7 days or so, snail mail with the decision.
Odd, and doesn't sound promising.

(Not much activity here - people, please report your experiences - it helps others and doesn't cost you anything!)
B of A Alaska Business Visa
Have had this card for 2 years, not a huge amount of spend (estimated $10K/year). AF was due on the card.
No transfer to retention. specialist. After long hold, CS agent said she was "reviewing my account" for incentives.
Offered 5000 miles to keep the card open (no spend required). Accepted.

Called to cancel my BofA AS Visa hoping to get some sort of retention offer. I thought it looked promising when the first rep transferred me to retention, but the 2nd rep said that because I'm a Wealth Management customer the only thing he can offer me is a lower interest rate. He said the only way I would get some sort of offer for bonus miles was through the first rep if there is some sort of promotion. He told me I had 60 days from the AF date so I decided to wait and see if anything better comes up, but obv not hopeful.

AS personal. Opened 1 year ago. No offer given. Asked for retention or AF waive. Going to keep because I haven't been able to find an opportunity to use the companion certificates and need an AS card to use them.

Alaska Airlines personal card. Held for two years, Flew AS one time in the past year, and didn’t put much spend on the card after the initial bonus. Gave no travel During pandemic as my Reason for canceling. Didn’t expect a retention offer, and didn’t receive one.

BoA Premium Rewards Card
Very frustrating experience trying to call about the annual fee on the Premium Rewards Card. First call, after a long discussion, agent offered to transfer me to "another department" that might be able to offer an incentive. Got a recorded message saying they can't take calls right now and it hung up.
Called back a few days later and the new agent said there were notes on my account from the last agent that my annual fee could not be refunded and he had no idea what department the other agent was talking about. He transferred me to "Benefit Services" and the call dropped when I tried to verify my phone number.
I'm leaning toward just keeping it for another year and not wasting any more time. Preferred Rewards tier makes this a really appealing card for non-bonused spend, especially now that miles have become less valuable to me personally.
