Card Churning & Points Question
I am a bit of a "newb" and I have searched the forums but still can't find any sort of threads which definitively answer/provide me tips & knowledge to the two questions I have.
1. Which cards allow you to keep your miles/bonuses once you cancel the card?
2. Can somebody link me some information on how to effectively churn cards or is it truly as simple as canceling and then re-apping 6+ months later?

Generally, airline or hotel points earned from an affiliate credit card will not be forfeited upon account closure. Those points are stored with the airline or hotel, not the bank. Rewards that pertain to the bank itself (like Chase Ultimate Rewards, Amex Membership Rewards, Citi Thank You Points, etc.) are often forfeited upon account closure. There are exceptions to both cases, so contact the credit card issuer for verification.
I'm with PainCorp in response to your second question. You need to put the time in to fully understand how churning works.

1. All of them, provided the points/miles have been posted in or transferred to your airline/hotel program account.
