When does spending period for bonus start?
Newbie here!
I was wondering when the spending period for miles bonuses generally starts. I just got approved for an AA Citi MC but I will be traveling for most of the next month with no way to get my mail. Does the period in which I need to meet minimum spend start from
1. approval date
2. activation date
3. some other date altogether?

Welcome to FlyerTalk. Normally the clock starts running on the date the card application is approved. You should be able to obtain an exact "spend by" date from customer service when the card is activated, but in this game it is never a good idea to press against the limits.
