using cash advance checks?

using cash advance checks?
I have a barclay arrival card, was considering using one of the cash advance checks provided for a purchase....would I get any points in my account for using these? I can't find the info on their site......(this isn't bonus points,just general point accrual

Generally, cash advance is a terrible idea and you will not earn award points. Are you sure these are cash advance checks? This sounds more like balance transfer checks

Oh yes, they called the balance transfer cash advance checks....not b/c I couldn't pay for something outright, but b/c I was wondering if I could use the check to buy a large ticket item I want ,but the seller takes cash or checks. For the points- and If I won't accrue points with them,then I guess I won't use them. thanks...
