Recommendations for New Cards?
Hi, I am planning on getting some new credit cards in the next 2 weeks. I am a 20 year old student. I currently have 4 credit cards, Chase Student, Amex SPG, Amex Blue, Citi TY. I PIF every month and have a credit score of 720+.
I got the Amex SPG with the 30K bonus in August and will be coming up on 90 days and am looking to get 2-3 new cards for mile bonuses, especially since I can pay my tuition on CC's in full.
I am thinking of going for the AA Citi Cards x 2. I can hit the $3,000 Min spend and net 80K AA miles. I am also considering going for the Chase Sapphire Preferred, but I think my income may be to low(~12K), despite a good credit score. As an alternative I was already considering a Biz card like Chase Ink, or Amex SPG Biz since I have a website I run which generates significant revenues.
My pref for a 3rd card is the Chase Sapphire since, I would hold on to that card for longer than the free year since it has a lot of great benefits. But I don't know my odds of getting it. I would prob go for Amex Platinum if there was a good bonus(>50K MR), but 25K is too low.
Any advice?
More details: I am mainly interested in air miles. I am gold on AA, and have about 35K miles with another 36K SPG miles. I am planning some international travel mainly to Europe in the next year which is why the CSP interests me with No Forex.

As pointed out in another thread CSP's 7% dividend is calendar based which makes mid-late January the ideal time to get it so you can get the dividend before the AF hits.
Maybe skip Chase for now and fire off the app in January? These 90 day things needn't be surgical.

Does anyone know how tough the income requirement is for the Sapphire Preferred. I have good credit and bank with chase which should give me some leverage.
I am pretty sure I will go with 2xAA and the CSP.

I'm in a very similar position as a student with no debt and little income. I currently am cosigned with my dad for the freedom card and am coming up on having the card for 9 months. I PIF every month but have not checked my credit score recently.
I was considering applying for the amex prg and the csp but I'm concerned that like kal22 I do not generate enough yearly income as a student.
Does anyone have any thoughts on wether I should apply for the card on my own or try and use my dad as a cosigner to get approved and then eventually (6+ months) become the sole authorized user?
p.s. I have a pretty generous credit limit and was also thinking if I get denied on my own I could call the reconsideration line and ask to move some of my current credit to the csp instead of trying to increase my overall credit limit. does this seem like it would make sense?

I have been with Chase checking for over 4 years now but applied for 2 of their cards in the summer time and recently went for CSP. I had to call in and they wanted to know why I opened so many credit cards with them recently. Even though I gave them a legitimate reason, the rep wouldn't budge. I even asked if I can move my credit around (which I have a lot of) but was forced to close my regular Sapphire card in order to get approved for CSP.
