getting a refund on a credit card cancelled

I had credit card fraud so Bank of America cancelled my credit card and re-issue another one. I now am supposed to get a refund but it is on the credit card that has been cancelled a couple of months ago.

Will the refund go through and be deposited in my new credit card account automatically or am I out of luck.

Yes. It should happen without intervention. But, if the refund doesn't post on your new card #, call BOA.

Thanks very much. I had to cancel my flight. Luckily I didn't book my flight with a Visa Gift Card. I would have a difficult time getting my refund as I throw the card away after using it.

If you use a prepaid card of any shape or size to purchase a future service (air ticket, hotel and the like), don't ever toss it until the service has been rendered. Doesn't mean you have to lug it around, but just stick it in an envelope somewhere.
