I did want to thank FT and the MilesBuzz/Credit Card/Amex boards in particular. Until a year ago I only had Amex and Delta points, and did almost no churning. In the past year, thanks to information and encouragement from this group, as well as the convenient happenstance of my wife getting her green card and SSN and all sorts of great tricks I've learned for managing spend, I've accumulated about a million miles and points this year.

The Amex points mostly go to flying my wife back and forth to see me (she lives elsewhere), while the remaining points have enabled me to go from hoping I can get her a free coach ticket to Europe every summer (her family lives there) to being able to tell her she'll never fly coach again, and for me being able to fairly casually say "And I'll go with you for a long weekend."
