what is DVRS on card purchase statement?

what is DVRS on card purchase statement? is it PRE AUTHORIZATION charge?
I was shopping at the office store & the cashier called my credit card issuer for prior authorization for the total amount and also swiped my card but now I see 2 of the same amount showing as PENDING on my card online statement.
am I charged twice or one is just pre authorization only? I never saw DVRS on any pre auth.
