The waiting is the hardest part
Boy do I hate waiting. After my exciting 8 Card-O-Rama day about a month ago, I've hit my spend limits for 6 of them, and am well on my way to meet spend requirements for 7 & 8. It's taking longer than I would have hoped to see the points/miles bonuses show up in my account- so far only 1 has (Citi HHonors 40K).
I'm sure that not only does the statement that puts you over the spend requirement need to close, but then it can take some time depending on circumstance to get the bonus registered in the airline/hotel/etc.'s system.
Then it's more waiting until I can run another set of cards!
How does everyone handle the waiting game?!

I'm annoyed with BOA. I received their Hawaiin Airlines Card this month, and the statement closed last week and the miles still haven't posted. Pleasantly surprised with how quickly Chase UR points post and transfer to various programs. Delta miles post right after you hit the spend regardless of the statement closing, same with US Dividend miles. American miles wait until the statement closes. I do admit, I log into awardwallet daily to see any changes. Probably shouldn't do that.

That's the only way to keep yourself occupied.

More seriously, spend the downtime learning more about mile and point redemption strategies and about the places you hope to visit. There's much to learn about the nuances of airline partner redemptions, maximizing value through maximum permitted stopovers, routing rules, etc.

. This has the side benefit of generating money to pay the credit card bills and even makes it easier to obtain more credit cards. Still have idle time? Get married.
