Help with a reconsideration

Hello,
I was planning a 2 card signup today. Chase sapphire preferred 50k and the citi thank you 50k.

I just signed up for chase and was given the 10 day wait message. I called the number I found on this forum and was told that the office isnt open until tomorrow morning.

The question is: should I still sign up for citi tonight? Obviously I want both if possible, but if I had to pick one I'd pick chase. Im afraid that by signing up for citi tonight I'll hurt my chances for the chase reconsideration tomorrow.

Thx

Unless Chase pulls your credit report during the reconsideration call, they won't have any way of knowing that you applied for the Citi card. FIRE AWAY

I'm in the same boat, though with the Chase Freedom card instead of the Sapphire - and the Citi Hilton card.

Just curious, which phone number did you call?

I'm going to wait until I find out 100% from Chase just because this card is very important for me to get, but if things aren't on the line than I'd also say there would be no harm it applying.
