Freezing Experian Report

I did a search and saw some old threads on this, but I wasn't sure if things had changed.

I was rejected from Chase recently (BA card) due to too many inquiries on my credit report. My experian report has about 16 pulls on it from the last two years (AA churn), but the other two agencies only have a combined 3 pulls. Has anyone had success with freezing their experian report and applying for a Chase card? I would really like to jump on the 50,000 United deal while it's available.

Have you tried asking at Creditboards.com? You may get an answer from FT, but CB has more people with more experience with getting rejected for cards. It seems like not many from FT ever get rejected from a cc.
