testing requirements for return to US
Taking my first international business trip in a couple years in a week in a half. ORD-LHR-ORD.
Saw that UK waived its testing requirement upon entry, but US requires a test within a day of the flight to return. It says a viral test. Just wondering what types of tests they will accept? Can I use the Binaxx rapid tests I bought at home or do I need a test from a medical/testing facility?
Thanks,

Testing
Yeah, you can use the Bibax test but it HAS to be proctored (so you do a video chat with them and they verify the test). The airline will need to see the test result, provider name, etc, so a regular at home test isn't good enough. In reality it is the exact same test. For travel though you need the proctoring. Do a Google search for rapid home test for travel. They are 69.99 for 2 and qualify for return to the US.

We used the BinaxNow to return from Spain in December. It's very simple. We did it early in the morning so we could enjoy the rest of the day. You download the Navica app and register. From there they connect you to emed and you do the test supervised. The results only take 15 mins. We immediately received an email with the results. We took a print screen on our cell and uploaded the photo to the VeriFly app and answered all the questions, it was worthless because we were still not able to check in online. But it did get us to a faster check in line at the airport.

I used the qured proctored test yesterday in my hotel room here in Milan. Took 10 minutes, upload pic of test cassette showing negative and drivers license and get back your copy to use for verifly in 1 hour. Easy peasy.
I've used both BinaxNow and Cured. Really 6 half dozen the other.
I'm headed back to Texas today.
