Seychelles - previously opened to vaccinated travelers in January, now open to all travelers; Visitors are required to present a negative PCR test taken 72 hours prior to departure, and visitors will still be required to adhere to other public health measures such as mask wearing, hand washing and social distancing. more info

Croatia - Entry for tourism is permitted only with documentary evidence of an accommodation paid in advance and in full, prior to arrival at the border. Greece - As of April 19, residents of the United States are now allowed to enter Greece. All travelers entering Greece are required to present a negative molecular test result (PCR test) for COVID-19, performed up to 72 hours before their entry to Greece.Fully vaccinated individuals who are residents of the U.S. may enter Greece without a PCR test if they present a vaccination certificate. The vaccination certificate must be in English, issued by a public authority, and demonstrate that vaccination was completed at least 14 days before arrival to Greece. Iceland - The Minister of Justice of Iceland has decided that the previously announced decision to exempt from travel restrictions those who can provide proof of vaccination or prior infection will take effect on 6 April. The change in regulation will allow travellers from non-Schengen countries, who meet the criteria, to travel to Iceland for non-essential reasons. P.S. ‘Eradication’ if I am not mistaken, means that there is not a single case detected in ‘wild’ for some significant time period. If we use that definition, Covid won’t be eradicated for years.

I just booked a Georgia/Ukraine combo for this summer. I had a large AF voucher, and a ticket in J was fairly reasonable ($2290 all-in). An on-the-ground traveler report on Tripadvisor indicates Georgia will (after a few moments of confusion) accept a US CDC vaccination card as proof of successful vaccination.

I'm seriously considering Georgia/Ukraine for may also. Hard to find a One World flight heading there though so I can use my points. I think my best option is Qatar QSuite with a layover in DOH.

My understanding is (please correct me if I'm wrong, but) there are still variants/mutations of the Spanish flu hanging around as part of the annual flu season.. so yeah it'll be a while.

I convinced my primary care doctor to add the info from my CDC vaccination card (issued by a supermarket pharmacy) to my WHO yellow booklet and stamp it. I'm hopeful this may make things slightly easier as places start to open up relative to the CDC card.

Might be in the minority here, but I wouldn't give a damn if immigration systems had access to my immunizations (not health records), since these cards can be forged/ripped up/forgotten etc.

Thailand teased the possibility of opening some of their popular destinations to vaccinated tourists in the summer.
But it's contingent on vaccinating 70% of the Thai population.

I saw regional media - singapore etc reporting that Phuket is going to the the first city to open on July 1. No quarantine if you are vaccinated Details of vaccine "passport" and agreements with other Govts to follow. It will be a pilot program to be extended to 6 other cities if all goes well. Apparently approved by Thai PM in the last day or so.

Both Thailand and Indonesia regional leaders/governments (Phuket and Bali) number of times expressed their readiness to open or even mentioned timeframe but it is the central government which makes decision.
As it was said once (in different context), ‘I know when I see it’. I would not count on any dates which are more than a month away.
P.S. It is a good idea to check the reality at Thailand forum from people who live there. These people let’s say are not optimistic.
