LAX connection/transit
Hi everyone,
Just seeing if anyone can give me an answer or advice. I'm flying into LAX later in november. Land roughly at 11:15am (Air NZ) then fly out of LAX at 9:05pm (Copa Airlines) 1st question: once I clear customs/immigration, collect my bags will I be able to go to the connections area to the right or will I have to exit and go upstairs to check in 3-4 hours before my next flight. 2nd question: if I can't go to the connection area, anyone know if Copa check in starts 3 or 4 hours before the flight?

If there is an earlier flight, they will help you with the check bag process, even though your flight is several hours later. If there is no close early flight, yes, you will have to wait close to 3.5 hours before flight to check your luggage.

Transited through LAX last week. There was an agent forcing everybody to go left and out landslide. He was not letting anybody transit through airside. No idea why - that was my first time experiencing that. Super annoying.
