Ticket processing times for code shares
A relative had to purchase a ticket with less than 16 hours before flying from the USA to PTY. The flight is UA to Tegucigalpa, then CM to PTY. It was purchased on the UA website using his CM branded Banco General credit card and shows as pending on his account (maybe immaterial). The reservation provided the UA and CM confirmation codes. We're 3 hours in, and the reservation has not ticketed yet. When I put the CM confirmation code into the CM website to choose seats, the website response is "your reservation needs to be reviewed by a service agent." This suggests to me that CM is the hold up, though I may be wrong about that.
Does anyone have experience with this phenomenon and knows whether it will be cleared up before the flight tomorrow morning?

By morning, it wasn't ticketed according to either website. United staff at check-in counter at IAH couldn't get it resolved. The passengers wound up buying new tickets on a direct flight IAH-PTY (seats weren't available last night when we tried that flight).
