Can now donate, transfer, buy miles!
Copa is finally offering miles for sale and transfer!
It's done through Points.com, 3.0 cpm for purchase and 1.5 cpm for transfer. 50,000 cap.
Not cheap but on the positive side there's no tax or transaction fees, so what you see is what you pay.*
I transferred 2k from a relative's account, pretty painless and quick. Immediate transfer. Exact $30.

It is definitely a good deal for some of the destinations that I use the most (POS and KIN). A return trip is hard to find for less than 500 USD (and I never paid less than 600 USD), but by buying miles and getting the economy saver award, you can get away with 300 USD for a return trip.
Only downside is that they dont upgrade you on award tickets. At least not in my experience.

I would like give them some business, a few issues.
1. Two cents per mile is not a great deal, but would even buy 50K to have in the bank if only the redemption's were good. Currently UA offers same day redemption's for CM flights while Copa does not even offer same day redemption's for their own metal.
2. They offer less mileage ticket inventory than both United and Avianca.

I am looking for advice. New to Copa. Bought miles last Friday, card charged immediately, miles not posted so far. It is five days now (including weekend) Is it normal or something went wrong? Sent an email to them but got an autoreply of 14 days response time, which is, well, quite long. Any experiences from others?
