SFO to PTY in July
Hi, I'm new to flying with Copa airlines and am flying to from SFO to PTY in July 2017 for 2 weeks and wondering why the prices are so high ($1000-1200)? I looked at the trends in prices for the May and June flights and there are around $550 if you book now.
Also I checked the seat availability and the flight is 65-75% empty for my July dates. Should I wait to buy later or bite the bullet and get them now? Any info would be greatly appreciated. (I know I should have bought them a few months ago but things happen). Thanks.

It's peak travel season, but you are also buying quite a bit too early.

For economy? That's too high. On average, cheapest fares are around 60 days out. Definitely keep watching.

Yeah, the $1000-1200 price was for economy for early July. Thanks, I'll keep monitoring the prices and look to book in May.
