CO ops question and pda

Does anyone know what this means?

Continental Flight: 2955
operated by ExpressJet Airlines, Inc. dba Continental Express
Departure Date: Aug 12, 2009
Status: Arrived Gate 1 Hour 5 Minutes Late, Overflew Beaumont, TX (BPT), Departure From Charleston, SC (CHS) To Houston, TX (IAH - Intercontinental).

I've never seen anything like that before and just curious how a plane overflew a city that is not served from our humble abode?

Sounds like they may have had a diversion scheduled at some point that they did not take.
