I had to check my small suitcase as I entered the plane to MKE. When I arrived in MKE my bag was badly damaged. The agent on duty for CO refused to even take a claim, and she became very rude in the process. What to do?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It's not as much what was damaged, rather how it was damaged.

Any company can put whatever disclaimers it wants in its policies, but if they were negligent in caring for the item, they're responsible, regardless of those disclaimers.

So if the bag is damaged beyond normal wear and tear, then the OP may have a case. In addition, he may want to report the bag office in MKE for not filing a claim as requested.

I would hope so, after all the OPs handle seems to suggest they are a Rev of some type, would hate to think hes trying to pull a fast 1 on CO. As since he didnt get what he wanted the 1st time, he'll simply try again using the same bag

Tummy good catch I didnt realize it was the same person as before!

I was referring to broken/damaged Handles or Wheels. a friend just had that happen, called and told me the Carrier (not CO) totaled his bag and its unusable. seems somehow a wheel casing got bent, but the Carrier simply showed the sign where they arent responsible for those kind of things.

Now how unless it was a guitar being tossed around and in full sight, can you prove it was tha Carriers fault?

if it is the same, why not keep the same topic in play, instead of opening a new one?

nasty I wasnt nasty, but did you tell the CO employee that the case was damaged on a different CO flight and not today? If any shame is occuring its by You and not posting to your original thread about the same case or at least mentioning something in your 1st post on this thread that its the same case and what can You do as CO seems to have put it to rest. Nope instead you started this thread and 1 + 1 = 2, and if you think people havent pulled this on the Carriers in the past, I have a Bridge Id like to sell You

I NEVER accused You of pulling the Scam only I posted "I hope its not the same 1" as it does come across as if you were trying to collect twice on the same bag if it wasnt 2 different bags. So maybe you need to very careful how you post things and where you do

why did you start a 2nd thread about the same thing Its against TOS of FT

He was responding to this quote from the other thread:

The one-thread wonders are at their finest when they try to worm their way out of how they have positioned themselves...the zillion-miler thread is a great example of that.

seems for whatever reason he didnt want to take sbm12s advice from the other thread

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/12150010-post7.html

so what does the OP want ? that someone from FT get all his info and make teh claim for him? or that some CO employee will read this and beg for Forgiveness

sbm12 gave great advice which the OP has decided to Ignore for whatever reason

So we've upgraded from "destroyed" to "damaged".... or is it downgraded? I'm still waiting to get all the juicy details of said destroyed/damaged bag.
