Aircraft Swap?
Hello all,
I am flying on CO471 to SJU tomorrow morning, and it looks like there may have been an aircraft swap? I am a little confused because it was scheduled as a 757-300.
I don't understand why under the Upgrade Standby List it has "Booked: FULL." Seeing as the aircraft has been changed to a 767-400, I would imagine that there would be many more first class seats available?
Thanks!

I would recommend calling the elite line, assuming you are elite. However, you have to explicitly tell them the aircraft has been changed because sometimes they have conflicting information. However they will only be able to change your seat within the coach cabin. From what I've read on the board they will not upgrade you. That is something you will either have to let the EUA process potentially work out or take care of it at the airport.
I was on the 772 IAH-EWR flt a few months ago, the site listed the flt being downgraded to a 764, however the agent told me it was still a 772. He even changed my seat on the flight. The next morning CO sent me an email stating I had been rebooked on a second overflow 73G flight.

If it was overbooked enough it is possible that they did the swap and processed a bunch of EUAs, making F actually booked full.
Right now the flight is almost completely zeroed out (Y2) so they think it is going full:
FWIW, the flight is on ship #51 which has done EWR-LAS-CLE-IAH over the last couple days. It is a regular 764, not a 76H. And looking at the seat map (not a good indicator, I know) there are plenty of unassigned F seats. So either they will open it up later and make a lot of folks happy with EUAs to the big seats or there are a lot of folks holding reservations for F seats with no seat assignments.

They haven't process all of the EUAs. There are plenty of seats open, according to the seat map, in F. Most likely, F seats were blocked to avoid an oversell situation. (or at least an oversell situation worse than the current one) I bet they will open up at the gate and hopefully you will get EUA'd.

764H schedule
764H are ships 63, 64, 65, and 66, with 20/236 seating.
All 4 are busy running GUM - NRT (2x daily), GUM - HNL (1x daily), and HNL - IAH (2x daily). Unlikely they will be used on other routes.
