I'm trying to book flights and I can't log on.

Looks like orbitz.com is my next stop.

It sure would be nice if they would post something on the website telling people that they are working on it. I still cannot get in.

+1. Haven't been able to make reservations since Saturday, and now cannot log in (although was able to yesterday and during the weekend), so things seem to have got worse today..

I guess the IT guys are working on it, though! ;)

I have had no problems since this post yesterday. I am using Firefox 3.0.1.1. Perhaps this is a browser issue? Anyone using Google Chrome, or MSIE?

down again..... ...?

Called on yesterday and they said, "Oh yeah down, try later".

Today more descriptive message at failed login:

"! Sign-In functionality is unavailable at this time. Please try again later."

UA eliminates the 24 hr hold option in the same week that the CO website starts acting more like .bomb than .com

Coincidence?

It's broken for Chrome and IE too.

The website is broken in IE, Firefox, Chrome, Camino and Safari for me... I think they are doing maintenance on accounts, not the entire site.

still down using user name logon, but able to access itinerary if I put in the itinerary# and last name via AOL browser.

Why would they be doing any maintenance on a weekday, and during the day for that matter? This is really beyond me - they should have a totally redudant mirrored site hosting older code they can switch to immediately when these issues get reported. As soon as the first tickets were reported, the web admins should have verified the problem and switched to the older-code mirrored site immediately before troubleshooting the problem site.

They seem to have a very bad habit of rolling out new code updates in the middle of the day and during the workweek, when this stuff should be done at 3am on Saturday morning.

To be essentially down for almost two full days is totally 100% inexcusable. Anything beyond 60 minutes is really inexcusable for a company of this size.

I think the code was rolled out over the weekend and something changed on the server.

The server was back up late yesterday and earlier today, but then the accounts went kaput again.

I agree with your assessment on their rollouts though, they seem to be either poorly time or poorly tested, or both.
