Continental to Virgin Fare Mappings
All, I just took JFK-LHR Flights Operated by Virgin but bought on CO.Com. I bought a Continental "A" Class Fare, and a continental rep confirmed for me that this is a Virgin "Z" Class Fare. I would say the best way to verify the information about how the mapping works to ensure you will get mileage credit is call continental to ask. It did take about 10 days to post however they came through automatically.
On a side note I though the VS Flights were fantastic, the A340-600 and 747-400 Upper Class seats where much nicer than any Continental Biz First flights I have been on. The staff are superb and the lounges and JFK and LHR are extremely relaxing and comfortable.
