*A When?

I'm a *A points collector. But my company is sending me on Continental (for no particularly logical reason).

a) What do the fare classes YN and XM mean? They said they booked these flights using the CTO's points but I'm confused because the flight confirmation lists qualifying miles. I suspect they didn't.

b) Is the Continental *A thing still happening? If these aren't reward tickets is there any chance if I save up the boarding passes that I'll be able to credit it to a *A points program instead someday soon?

They are reward classes (look in the FAQ for the "fare bucket" post).

Even if they weren't you wouldn't be able to collect points retroactively after the *A move happens. And it will happen "promptly" after CO leave ST on October 24, 2009.
