IAH-ATH price changes
I was researching airfare for IAH-ATH-IAH this past weekend, and continental.com had a great fare of $408+tax/fees (L fare). Last night, I searched the same exact itinerary, and it was listed for $1207 + tax/fees (E class fare). What happenend? How can the price triple in a matter of 48 hours?

How? Airline change prices all the time, sometimes several times a day for the same flights. Inventory changes, too. In this case, either they decided to change the price, a few people bought all the low-priced tickets for what you were looking at, or you somehow changed your search. Even a slight change in the search can cause the price to change, sometimes dramatically.

Rule #1: If the fare is an amazing deal, grab it while you have it and take advantage of the 24 hour refund policy if you need to change your mind. $408 to ATH is an amazing deal.
You may want to search using the My Days Are Flexible search to see if similar fares might be available in the same time period.

I'm guessing the dates you input sold out of the fare class that was returning the $408 price. I'm seeing $408 all the way to mid-June, even for 1 night stays.

2 x RT IAH-ATH = just over 25K miles, if you catch my drift.
