You're lucky it wasn't in the Delta headquarters. You would have been charged a close-in ticketing fee, fuel surcharge, a standby fee, and a partner fee plus the triple tier award chart!

Make me glad I went on the Inflight Training tour.

An hour trapped in an elevator. Yikes.

Why not? Just imagine to be there with the right lady and no outside disturbance for an hour....

It was a blast. Pardon the joke, but it seems like we made a real BONEHEAD move by loading the whole group onto an elevator at once.

*fyi, Bonehead was also one present in the elevator.

Nice to get to know everyone a little bit better, though!

I was one of those stuck! It was very warm, but the technology abounded!

Now let's not exaggerate, Jaimito. The partner fee has not yet been announced for WorldPerks members. That only applies to SkyMiles members.

Seriously.....didn't Mark B say publicly that he would compensate the elevator gang 100 miles times the number floor they were stuck on?

And certainly lucky you weren't at the Sandcastle (US HDQ)...they would have charged you an elevator repair fee...

Smoky told me the elevator story at Saturday night's party.
I am sure this is the real "mystery tour". CO planned this all alone....

TECHNICALLY, we were between the 15th and 16th.
We had about half of the 15th floor door when we opened the elevator, and about 6-12" of 16 visible at the top.
They came to figure it all out on the 15th floor, but when all was said and done, the cab moved up to the 16th and we got out there.

Yup, I heard him say it to. I'm sure somebody must have posted THAT on You Tube.

I heard him say something about miles, too, so if I receive any, I will post!

They did take all of our names while we were stuck, but the assumption was that was for insurance/liability purposes. So we will see if they use that list to award us Elevator Qualification Miles!
