LAS Security Checkpoint

Has anyone been through LAS lately? Are CO Plats still able to go through the FC line with their travel companions?

I've got a flight coming up during AVN....I mean, CES....so I'm sure the airport is going to be jammed.

It's ridiculous how often that airport changes their Elite Line / FC line procedures....

I went through last Saturday and it was only labelled First Class (D gates only). No mention of elites but there was absolutely nobody checking eligibility so anyone could go through. Note, it is in a new location to the right of the usual checkpoint for the D gates... Wasn't any faster than regular security either.

I have the LAS ops manager's email somewhere from when we discussed the changes to the elite lanes - I would like to let him know what you witnessed, as he told me enforcement of the F/top tier requirement would be strictly enforced.

That place is such a joke. Hopefully when I stroll through with my Plat card they don't give me and the Mrs. a hassle

I went through with my wife about three weeks ago. Nobody checking and the TSA people combining lanes as they got busy.

I assume this is a concern (traveling companions) if the reservations are separate for the purpose of EUAs? Otherwise, when the reservations are booked together, the boarding pass indicates elite status for all PAX.

There is a thread on this in the LAS forum, but long and short of it is that the D Gates F line is for top tier or F passengers. CO Plat still qualifies.

Just carry a VX eleVAte card and you'll get through. So much for being an elite line .
