A little help please...

I am trying to get gold by the end of the year, and I need 5600 more miles.

I am booked on a flight (Alaska) later this week, and plan on using my Continental FF #.

The flight is 2000 miles (for easy math), and I am in first class (full fare), and I am currently a silver elite.

How many miles will I accrue on this trip?

Thanks in advance for your math help.

PS the miles calculator on Continental's web site does not work.

You will get 150% EQMs for the full fare first.

2000 actual miles = 3000 EQMs

So if it is 2000 *each way* you're lookin' good.

But count up those miles exactly .......numerous discussions recently on how "continental just ain't gonna give you elite staus if you come up a few miles short".

If you post actual details some math wiz here will calcualte it out and give you best options.

2,000 miles = 3,000 EQMs with the 50% first class bonus.

Not towards elite status, only towards redemption.

The PHL-west coast are probably the cheapest right now. I am doing a 10500 MR next weekend for about $500 to get to plat. To add some miles I added iah-aus to my flts.

I am in SW Ohio, so I could do CMH, DAY, CVG, or even IND. I think, however, that I may have one more business trip that will put me over the limit.

Thanks for all the help!

Wow! That's a find. Usually anything to/from SEA is rather pricey. I should have been on top of this one!

PHL is the key to amazing pricing and MRs, as all of the flights route through IAH on their way west. Although sometimes, the flights go PHL-CLE, which really does not do anything for miles.
