SO! Whats your favorite and least favorite plane we fly and why?

We can all chime in on this subject our passengers and Crew:

My favorite planes to work in this order and why are:

767-200: Very well staffed, PTV's, it's my small cozy whale thats both big and small.

757-200: I love this plane and the fact we have it with the AVOD. It really is a world of difference with the PTV's.

757-300: A.K.A to us F/A's the slave ship. You either love it or hate it and when this puppy gets the LiveTV it will go ahead on my fav list to the #2 spot. It's big but easy to work! The lav set up by 3L/R leaves enough room for the PAX to get up stretch and walk around with getting in any persons way.

767-400: It's a nice place and staffed well.

737-700: This plane is a nice size with a great set-up. I love the drop down t.v.'s and when we get the LiveTV in these it will be that much better.

737-800X/OLD 900's ONLY: The 800X has the mid-cabin lav. This plave is like working the 757-200 without the mid-galley. It's a true pleasure. I like the configuration of the old 900's but they will be reconfigurated to what is now being delivered.

737-500: Great plane to work in coach. The FWD galley is to small along with the closet. We are not lieing when one person boards, we collect the coat and tell the next it's full. Only real down side is the plane has no entertainment.

Least favorite:

737-800: The newest configuration where the lav is no longer across from the last two rows is o.k. BUT there really needs to be a mid-cabin lav on this plane. It's hard to work a transcon on this Jet.

737-900 NEW: They are so pretty inside but with no entertainment YET they can be difficult on the longer legs. When it has the LiveTV it will be right up there with the 757's.

777-200: To many seats for me and the flights it is usually on such as Asia are just not desirable to me. Although it is nice to work to London.

HATED BY ALL:

737-300: It's old and the galley configuration was set-up for the LCC New York Air. The AFT galley is where the lav's should be. Nothing works on it, the seats are horrible, the air doesn't work. Working this plane in the summer in and out of IAH is good for one thing and one thing only and that's buring calories. It is hell to work in polyester.

Great thread ^

I like your take on the 767-200 and while obviously I love the widebodies, to me nothing beats sitting in 1A on the 757-200 during takeoff. The power and grace of that plane is fantastic.

Can't put my finger on why but I'm not a fan of the 737-700. Small FC cabin and used for transcons. Someone said that the pitch and configuration is similar to all of the other 737s but it's just no fun flying on a 737-700 EWR-PTY or SAN-EWR, especially in a paid FC seat.

.
Agreed. The lack of a mid-cabin lav on the 738's, especially on transcon, is very unpleasant for passengers as well.

My favorite CO plane is most likely the 777 with AVOD when I'm sitting in BF.

When sitting in coach, I appreciate the extra legroom on both the 767's and the 753.

Domestic - I prefer the 738X/739 with 20 FC seats - better upgrade opportunity.

International - 777 - roomier feel

Your 767's were the best, I specifically wait when I used to fly to Houston 2 x a week

So far, my favorite has been the 767-400. I flew on this IAH-EWR and it was very comfortable.

Domestically, I've spent the most time in 737's. My favorite seats are on 737-800's and 900's exit rows with the extra leg room (same goes for 757's). I prefer the layout with a mid-cabin lav so you don't have to walk all the way to the back, and I can stand up without tilting my head. My most satisfying experience domestically has been the 757-300 in first class - very spacious and comfortable.

752/762/764

I love anything with BusinessFirst seats

I will try to book my domestic flights on the 757-200, 767-200 and 767-400 when I can. I love the AVOD in First Class and I have been on one 757-200 that had AVOD in Coach and love it. Large screens, in seat power. I really love the 767 with the 2-3-2 seating configuration. It has a private feel when you are traveling with someone else. The 762 mini cabin in coach is great also.

I do not like the 737-300 and 737-500. Too small of a First Class cabin and beat up on the inside.

I dont mind the 753 or 738/739's. I will book those also. I try to book whatever aircraft has the largest front cabin for best chance of an upgrade. But when I see a 752/762/764 I cant help but book that in the hopes of an upgrade to those nice BF seats.

My favorite domestic aircraft is by far the 752. Up front, I like 1A (although, that's the case for me with all of COs fleet) and in the back I like 16C.

Internationally, I'd say the 762 because the 764 and 772 really don't have any good seats in Y. When I'm sitting up front, I prefer any of the 76s (when traveling alone) because of the single middle seat.

The 73s just get old after a while...

Beat up inside?? I can't think of a single CO mainline aircraft that I'd say was beat up inside...

I have only been on these aircraft a few times, maybe five in ten years and they have always been worn. I have had lop-sided tray tables, hard uncomfortable seats (more than normal for CO). Window shade that wont stay up. I just remember something always being damaged. I just avoid those aircraft when I see them on the schedule.

these planes are still cleaner and nicer than any other airline, but they are worn for CO.

Awesome thread subject

Favorite: 777 (the ones with AVOD). Nice, and I like the smooth feel of this large airplane. Closely followed by the 764. I hear that the 752's are cool with the BF cabin, but I haven't been in one. Most of the 737's are okay as well.

Seat 12A or any single-sided exit row in an ERJ...which is the best coach seat in the fleet, IMHO.

Least Favorite: Any 737 without the winged headrests....brutal with the minute padding, especially for long flights. The CRJ, which does not have any good seats in it, and one must navigate B84 at IAH

Of course, I would be lying if I left out the worst planes in the fleet: any prop by Colgan Air!!! Perhaps I am getting the friendly customer service by that planes operator -- the smiling faces from Colgan Air -- mixed up with the plane.

CO beat up is better than other airlines non-beat up.

The following list is based on sitting in Y.
Favorite
777
757-200 (I've like this plane since my very first flight on one)

Indifferent
738 (I do know where the good window seats are if I want one so I can sleep)
753
739
73G
733

Least
735 flies funny, 762 I can't put my finger on what bugs me about this plane.

Never Flown: 764

HMMMMMM....

I will say that I don't mind many of CO's Fleet as long as I get certain seats on them. I am a bulkhead/ FC guy. As long as I have both I am good to go.

From a service perspective and sleep perspective the 777/76s/752s are great.

Best: I really like the 2-aisle planes for the ability to walk around a little, so for me, it's the widebodies. The 777, especially with AVOD is the king, and I like the 764, especially with the single seat in BF.

Worst: The 737-700 seems more cramped to me than the other 73's. Probably an optical illusion, but I have had a couple of flights that were really uncomfortable.
