Sorry if this was posted before, but I didn't see it. I got an email today with a link to the following:
Enroll in The Extra Mile program and receive 50% more miles for every eligible fare* you purchase and fly on Continental Airlines from Jan. 1, 2009 to Dec. 31, 2009. Choose between two different mileage bonus offers.
Offer 1
Pay $125 and receive a 50% mileage bonus on all flights up to 12,500 bonus miles.
Offer 2
Pay $175 and receive a 50% mileage bonus on all flights up to 17,500 bonus miles.
Register today by calling the OnePass Service Center at 800.554.5522.
Does anyone really pay $125 for up to 6250 miles or $175 for up to 8750 miles?

The 2009 Extra Mile program is already being discussed in this thread.
To answer your question - the bonus mileage is 12,500 or 17,500 miles, not half of that. $125 gets you 50% extra on 25,000 miles, $175 gets you 50% extra on 35,000 miles.
