Problem with DL codeshare/fareclass

All -

The following is a private message I sent to CO Insider, with the personal data removed. Has anyone else had this happen, and if so, how did you fiX it?

Hi Scott -

I bought a r/t IAH-BIL today - and specifically bought a specfic Delta codeshare flight because the segments were U/U/K/K. On Continental.com, it states that Delta K bucket gets 100%EQM. The flights are DL metal/DL flight on IAH-SLC (U fare), SLC-BIL (U fare), BIL-SLC (K fare), but CO metal/DL flight SLC-IAH (K fare). I called the OnePass elite line to snag seat 14A on the 735 scheduled for the SLC-IAH leg, which I couldnt grab from Delta's website. He was able to help me, but after he did, Continental.com listed the flight as an X fare. I specifically grabbed this ticket from DL to get the 100%EQM on the two K fare legs. the agent stated he was unable to fix the fare bucket. How can I make sure I get the 100%EQM on that segment, and make sure I dont end up on the very bottom of the upgrade standby list (which isnt likely, but I'd hate to lose out because of a bad fare classification!).

As always, thanks for you help.

Specifics are below:

Me: XXXXXXXXXX
OnePass: XXXXXXX (Plat)

Delta Confirmation #XXXXX
XXXX DL4510 IAH-SLC
XXXX DL4534 SLC-BIL
XXXX DL4407 BIL-SLC
XXXX DL6692 SLC-IAH (CO290)

CO Confirmation #XXXXX

Hi tabTX, the short answer is yes, you'll get full Elite Qualfication Miles (EQMs) on flights in this itinerary booked in Delta's K fare class.

As with most cases, mileage and Elite earnings into OnePass are based on the marketing carrier, not the operating carrier. Although our systems are showing you on a Continental flight in X class between Salt Lake City (SLC) and Houston (IAH), your mileage credit will be based on the carrier and fare class shown on your ticket for that flight (which is Delta K class).

As a reminder, Delta's U class, which you've booked for the first two flights in this itinerary is only eligible for 50% EQMs. The 50% EQM earning for Delta's U fares is outlined on our partner earning page for Delta.

One correction. I noticed that tabTX's first two flights were booked in Delta's U class, which is only eligible for 50% EQMs (has been for some time now). I've edited my original post to make this clarification.

Does CO still sell Delta codeshares? I'm looking to go NYC to DSM on 5/1, return 5/3, and would like to book a CO codeshare as I have vouchers to use. I see on Delta.com that Delta has direct flights but can't get those to show up on CO.com. Is this all wishful thinking?

CO generally does not sell any non-stop codeshares as there are no CO operated flights involved.

I guess that makes sense -- too bad, though!
