That's a new one to me. It isn't listed in the FAQ collection.
Is it a revenue or reward seat? What class of service?

Maybe a special class they can force a non-rev award ticket into a revenue seat? Rather than open up more EN class, then book you into RN - revenue ticket, but no miles?

i think it may be a secret one. its actually not for me.
I had my bro and wife booked in E phx-hnl-phx. their hnl-iah cancelled and the agent could only confirm them on the hnl-ewr-phx flight. she sat them in 1 K and L so i assume the flight was full.
ill be sure they add their OP number just to see what happens. i think mines on the the record now b/c i get the notes and checkin notices.

In my humble experience a fare "?"N has been a reward fare. I have a few boarding stubs that I saved - XN was a standard reward fare, while YN has been an EasyPass fare. Based upon this assumption, a RN fare might be a standard first class award? Just a shot in the dark.

My guess is that you were rebooked into a flight which did not have SaverPass and RN is a forced availability bucket used for IROPS purposes.
