EUA status question
This is probably a question that has been posted before (sorry) but I'm scheduled to make platinum on a BF flight LHR-EWR on 10/04. I will then have a EWR-PHX later the same day (in coach). Is there any way to be considered a plat for that flight, or am I still a gold in the computer's eyes for the 2-3 days it takes for the LHR-EWR to post? (and is there a way to manually override that, with CO's assistance?)

The computer will still see you as a gold, but you may be able to find an agent to upgrade you to plat to bump you up the list - it's worth a try. I would speak with the BF concierge at the Pclub in EWR if they are not busy.

You could try calling the OPSC before the flight and see if they will bump you to plat until the flights post. This doesn't always work though so baglady's suggestion could be your alternative.

CO's official policy is that your status takes effect the day AFTER that on which you earn the credit that puts you over the hump. So you'd still be a Gold even if the miles posted instantly like they do with DL.
Your best bet is to call OPSC an try to get them to give you a temporary bump up to Platinum, but that has mixed results.

Thanks very much for these responses - if I'm not EUA'd as a gold, I'll ask the BF concierge and/or call OPSC. If it doesn't work out, no big deal. Thanks again!

You'll also get an extra ~1500 RDMs if you're platinum for the whole trip.

Good point - once I've booked the BF flight that will get me over the hump, I'll call OPSC - it will be a nonref Z so hopefully that will make them more comfortable with giving me the temp plat bump.
