Amtrak City Codes??
Are there special codes to cities for Amtrak? For instance, if you wanted to travel on Amtrak between EWR and BOS rather than flying, how would force co.com to show amtrak connections?

BOS isn't available as a CO codeshare. You can get CO miles for it if you book an Acela trip from NWK to BOS and transfer on your own, but otherwise you're out of luck on that bit.
The above is just a snippet from the post on the topic. Click the blue > icon to read the whole post/thread.

What are the Amtrak “flights” I can book with Continental?
Continental Airlines has a partnership with Amtrak for certain train segments to their hub in Newark, NJ(EWR) to be considered flights. These “flights” you take on the train connect with a Continental Airlines flight from EWR to your final destination.
From where can I book a Continental – Amtrak codeshare?
Amtrak segments can be booked/ticketed from the following locations:
ZFV – Philadelphia 30th Street
ZTF – Stamford, CT
ZVE – New Haven, CT
ZWI – Wilmilmington, DE
The codeshares are NOT available from:
WAS – Washington, DC
BOS – Boston

According to the fine print on co.com at http://www.continental.com/web/en-US...er/amtrak.aspx you'd need to book EWR-NYP and then NYP-BOS separately because of the following clause limiting non-codeshare mileage to
I have no experience whether EWR-BOS would work too, but the fine print reads as if not.
between New York's Penn Station and the following train stations: Boston's South Station, MA; Boston's Back Bay Station, MA; Boston's Route 128 Station, MA; Washington D.C.
