Upgrade of Co-Passenger

Hi,

I am a Silver Elite in NW and traval quite often with NW and alliance partners.
I have been upgraded many times to Business Class on Continental.

I have a trip coming to Jamaica in Nov and a friend of mine is on the same PNR. So my question is:

Am i still eligible for upgrade as the other person is non-elite?
If yes then will the other be upgraded as well?

Thanks

You're eligible, but companion upgrades are only available to gold and platinum elites.

You are eligible, but you will not be processed in the EUA queue if you are on the same PNR with a non-elite. So you have to call to split the reservation.

Your travel companion is not eligible for any upgrade.

If you want to be upgraded, you have to split your PNR. You can do this online (though it can be a little difficult) or call the SE line.

Oh oops, I didn't realize that GBadger said that already. My bad.

Thanks for all the replies.

Since this deals with flying Continental, let's move it over to the CO forum.

Thanks,

In theory there is an option in the reservation review screen to split the reservation. If you cannot find it there for whatever reason just call in and they can do it for you very quickly on the phone.

This depends on how it was booked. If it was a NW-issued codeshare, the split PNR may not be available, you'd still have to contact NWA.

If it was booked with CO using CO flights numbers, the "Separate Passengers" link may be there.
