Chance of Getting from ORD to EWR Tonight

Chance of Getting from ORD to EWR Tonight
I'm sitting at ORD. The 6:10 flight is currently delayed due to weather. THe 7:25 flight was cancelled. According to the GA, we might be delayed for a few more hours. What do you think my chances of actually getting out of here tonight are? I'm not thinking very good.

You'll make it, just a bit late. That route has chronic on-time problems, particularly this time of year with all the storms, but there aren't too many cancellations.
I see that your plane is sitting at gate E12 right now. My guess is that you'll leave between 1h15min and 1h45min late, and arrive between 45min and 1hr15 min late. Remember, the plane has to get to EWR for a bunch of flights tomorrow, so it doesn't behoove CO to cancel the flight. (As for the 7:25 that was canceled - the inbound there, CO1185, was canceled as well.)

A little tidbit - I believe that 6:10 flight has somewhat better ontime percentage and cancellation rate than the flights around it because the inbound plane comes from IAH, not EWR.

The GA swears we're leaving at 9:30. I'm a little bit skeptical. One of my colleagues boarded an AA flight headed to LGA and they're now heading back to the gate, getting off the plane, and waiting to find out if they'll be able to fly. They say 11:30 now, but she said an FA said that the flight will be cancelled.
