I had assumed the change fee was $150, but when I changed an international flight it was $200. I didn't see anywhere where it was explicitly mentioned that it was $150 for domestic and $200 international. So it goes.

This got me thinking, how do you find the rules for an itinerary that has already been purchased? I just mucked around on co.com and couldn't find them. I was able to find them when pricing out a new itinerary, but was lost in "My account."

You can only see the fare rules on the booking page. You can try to recreate your itinerary with your fare codes.

The award redeposit fee of $150 hurts the most and also the close in fee ($75). Last year I changed my international award ticket twice since it was only $35, but I can no longer afford to do it.
On a domestic award ticket (25000 miles), it almost makes sense to forgo the miles if there is a need to redeposit. I am going to slowly migrate to WN as I am unable to get decent award availability on international travel anyway on CO. |
